Hello, Mark McGinnis here and Welcome to Bring You Success.com.
I run a full-service Ad Agency Avenstar, which originated back in Hollywood Ca., 10 years ago. In addition, I have multiple online businesses – some of which you may of heard of. Add to that, my partner and I operate a national seminar speaking business called “Manifest-Passive-Income” – which has it’s own associated website of the same name, Manifest-Passive-Income.com. And if that’s not enough, we manufacture our own popular outdoor lighting product called “Fireflies”. So yep, we’re busy.
Having so many businesses and having to manage it all, especially the marketing aspects of each of these businesses (and products), it has been super challenging. We certainly have made our share of mistakes – but without mistakes one tends not to learn as much. What separates us from many other businesses or consultants out there these days, is that we really-really-really walk the talk – we have our own businesses – probably not so different than yours – so we don’t give advice from an academic or practice viewpoint – we give advice from what has worked or not worked from us being right out there in the trenches with you.
We give Entrepreneurs a lot of credit – especially in these times
If you have made the choice to become an entrepreneur, congratulations! I respect and admire your tenacity for what just may be the toughest time of your life… yet, may also be the most rewarding. I offer this post with no guarantees of future success, just dialog from someone who has already made a ton of mistakes and may be able to save you from repeating some of them. The important thing is to enjoy the ride and stay curious.
My journey to this point…
It’s been about ten years since I made my transition to being an entrepreneur from the corporate world where I spent 13 years as a Fortune 500 corporate marketing executive. In this position, I was responsible for multi-million dollar marketing budgets and for implementing strategic marketing plans on an international level.
Tiring of wearing suits and color-coordinating my ties, I left all that behind and founded two Hollywood-based advertising agencies, WGD-Media, Inc. and then Avenstar, Inc. As President and Creative Director of Avenstar, I was responsible for a slew of successful broadcast television advertising spots and crazy product infomercials. This led me to being the co-owner/director of the Hong Kong-based company, Creativations. Here, I took an innovative new product idea (Zen Fireflies) and brought it through the development and marketing process in a little over one year. Zen Fireflies continues today to be a great selling, fast moving product. Most recently I co-founded several internet businesses – Our Inner Source, zen posts, and bring you success, all are truly enjoyable works of passion for me, this is too much fun.
A little about and contacting Mark:
I live in beautiful Erie Colorado (near Boulder) – which is a big jump from where I’m used to living in southern California. I’m married to an amazing woman, Kim – who is also my business partner and best friend. I also have a funny, outspoken 15-year old son, Danny and we have two adorable dogs, Zoey and Rika.
